A spokesperson for the US government has confirmed that foreign amateur radio stations engaged in threats, obscenity, profanity, indecency, and/or jamming and deliberate interference, have no protection afforded them under US law.

CMSPIRG has learned that when VE7KFM transmits, he invariably engages in one or more of the above activities, therefore, no action will be taken against US licensees who talk over, or who otherwise interfere with VE7KFM's transmissions, provided such transmissions are otherwise legal and properly identified.

VE7KFM is not subject to US rules -- however, neither are VE7KFM's transmissions protected in the United States. The government source went on to say "We wouldn't take action against US licensees anyway, since we've discovered that Karol Madera is neither a credible witness, nor a credible victim."
